6/2 Bargaining Update

Today we had our 34th session of negotiations with Allina. We had a great turnout for our virtual session today - thanks to all of you who came and contributed!

In the morning we worked on our compensation language. We had a lot of good discussion with a large group assembled and made some progress toward a comprehensive first compensation proposal.

In the afternoon we reviewed our remaining non-economic items that are still on the table. We presented those items with some changes to Allina at 1:20 PM, alongside a package proposal in which we offered to drop our Maintenance of Benefits language in exchange for the employer dropping their Full Agreement language and agreeing to our COPE language (a voluntary political contribution to SEIU).

Allina responded at 2:00 PM, offering to agree to COPE and drop Full Agreement if the Union drops Maintenance of Benefits and Successorship. There were no changes to other open items.

At 2:45 PM we let Allina know that we could agree to their package offer, and we adjourned for the day.

All proposals exchanged and other bargaining resources can be found through this document.

Our next bargaining date will be Tuesday, June 24th at 8:30 AM. We will have a hybrid caucus room as usual at the regular Zoom link.
