5/5 Bargaining Update

We opened bargaining today with Allina responding to our questions about the AMS paging service. Allina clarified that use of the AMS app is NOT required. For those who have enrolled in the AMS app, you may unenroll from if you wish. If you have any further issues with this, they should be directed to your clinic managers and leads. Your manager should have a Tip Sheet they can reference to help address any ambiguities.

Allina then commented on the set of principles we had provided them at the last session regarding how to move forward bargaining about compensation. They stated they would like to avoid using proxy RVUs. They also stated they have no interest in changing health plans or specifics within any existing health plans and would prefer to have all employees be covered by a single set of health plans. Unfortunately, Allina did not offer any proposals today.

We reproposed "non-aspirational" compensation language. We also offered an updated proposal on non-economic scheduling language. Dr. Dain Meyer from Urgent Care presented a letter to Allina detailing Urgent Care's ongoing support for our proposals addressing Urgent Care workplace security, appropriate contact hours, and capping policies. He delivered this letter with 70 signatures to Dr. Kevin Best and Jessica Oiseth.

We hope Allina will return next week with counter-proposals to continue working towards a great contract. Our next bargaining session is Wednesday, May 14th, at the Delta Hotel.
